Dahlia Lavender Perfection: Summer romance in lavender pink
Dahlia Lavender Perfection brings a touch of summer romance with its soft lavender-pink flowers the size of a dinner plate. This beauty is sure to attract attention no matter what grows around it. But there is more than just outward splendour; this dahlia fits perfectly in any garden.
An enchanting addition to your garden
Dahlia Lavender Perfection is a rewarding summer bloomer that will give you months of pleasure. From July until the first night frost in autumn, this dahlia remains in full bloom. At around 90-100 cm tall, it is a striking addition to your garden. It will probably be necessary to support the flower stems because of the weight these large flowers have.
Plants of Dahlia Lavender Perfection
Plant Dahlia Lavender Perfection in well-drained soil and in a sunny location. Wait for the chance of frost to pass before you start planting, usually this is from May onwards. Dig a hole about twice as deep as the size of the dahlia tuber and add some organic compost to stimulate growth. Place the tuber face up in the hole, making sure the tip sticks out just above soil level. Give the tuber plenty of water after planting and keep the soil moist next months while the dahlia gets established.
Care of Dahlia Lavender Perfection
Dahlia Lavender Perfection is fortunately not a demanding plant when it comes to care. To ensure that it continues to bloom beautifully, regular attention is sufficient. Make sure the soil is well-drained, and water your dahlia regularly, especially during dry periods.
A little nutrition can work wonders, so consider using a balanced fertilliser from time to time to encourage flowering. Removing wilted flowers not only looks prettier, but also promotes the growth of new flowers. If you keep taking out the wilted flowers, the Dahlia plant can sometimes bloom as late as November!
Wintering Dahlia Lavender Perfection
To get Dahlia Lavender Perfection safely through the winter, wait until frost has wilted the leaves. Carefully dig up the tubers, gently shake off the soil and store them in a cool, dark and frost-free place. It is important to give them a little water every now and then to prevent them from drying out. In early spring, replant them in your garden as soon as the danger of frost has passed, and you will be rewarded with another season of beautiful lavender-pink flowers.
Dahlia Lavender Perfection adds a touch of romance and colour to your garden. Make it bloom!
